Motorola Solutions Foundation celebrates 5 years of its ACCP-Motorola Scholarship Fund program and ratifies its commitment to the Caribbean

Bahamas – May 23, 2012 – The Motorola Solutions Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Motorola Solutions, announces the five-year anniversary of its ACCP-Motorola Scholarship Fund program by awarding 10 new scholarships making a total of 24 scholarships granted. This way, Motorola ratifies its commitment to the Caribbean and to the education of the sons and daughters of Police officers in the region.

The ACCP/Motorola Scholarship Program is focused on providing the sons and daughters of Police officers with resources to continue their college or university studies. By promoting this program, it is expected that students who do not have the resources required to continue their academic formation will now have the opportunity to do so.

Children of current police officers who lack the resources necessary to fund their children’s academic pursuits or other hardships will be able to use this money to continue their education in Engineering, Communications and Marketing, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Human Resource Management, Criminology, or Forensic Science. These disciplines are essential for the proper functioning of the day-to-day operations of police organizations, where there is a need to continue training more professionals.
